Journal Entry "city Girl Blues"

" City Girl Blues" done in my rock paper journal!
Journaling for me is a way of releasing. There's no
right or wrong on how it should look; but
just expressing yourself on how your feeling
at that  moment. It's a great way to use little
bits of paper here and there from other projects.
The  little door which opens
was a Thank You card from an etsy transaction.
"City Girl Blues" is about living in a big city, having chai @ my
 favorite cafe, and sometimes
feeling blue.( but short lived!)
I used pencil,acrylics,washi tape,collaging.
The little crayon houses were from a print that didn't
turn out to my liking ...sooo it was perfect.

My Child's Innocence (finished painting)

'"My Child's Innocence" is on Russian birchwood 20"x24" wood panel.
Little girl on a swing, dragonflies flying about, peace birds slowly
and gently moving along flapping their little wings. One as landed
on the little girl. Collaged flowers using a monoprint technique
and home made stamp. There's a little guest at the foot of the
painting, that is very amusing , and has a lot of character.
Many layers of pouring medium as a finishing touch giving it
a glossy  look. This painting is about honoring our
inner child, to let it come out and play.

New Painting! (beginning stages)

What's on my easel!
This is a big painting on 20"x24", and still very much @ the beginning stages.
I'm doing a bit of 'pull art',collaging so far, and playing with colors. The little flying creatures are peace birds. They are gentle, have little wings and long skinny legs. Because there wings are so tiny, they don't fly like ordinary birds but kind of float along peacefully while flapping their little wings gently. They can also just stand in mid air for a long period of time. It's their way of relaxing;-)
The little creature below ..just happens to be there, and
 don't really have a name for him/her ;-)

Progress on my painting. I worked on the little girl , gave her
a dress, painted, and also used oil pastels. Focuses
also on the little creature , and wanted to bring him
out more so I gave him an aura to make him shine.
Added some little whimsical crayon houses.
A touch up on the peace birds.
Now on with the show.......;-)
